PSYCHOTHERAPY

Trauma-informed care for individuals and couples

I strive to align Body of Wisdom and all my practices with the values of trauma-informed care. When people feel safe and open, they are better able to learn, change, and grow.

SAFETY

I strive to create physical and psychological safety in all aspects of my work.

TRUSTWORTHINESS & TRANSPARENCY

Decisions are made with transparency, and with the goal of building and maintaining trust.

COLLABORATION

Power differences are acknowledged and leveled to support shared decision-making and safety.

EMPOWERMENT

Strengths are recognized, built on, and validated, including a belief in resilience and the ability to heal from trauma.

HUMILITY & RESPONSIVENESS

Biases and stereotypes (e.g., based on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, geography) and historical trauma are recognized and addressed.

Psychotherapy Options

  • I work with adults doing talk therapy with a somatic (body-based) approach. For more information on embodiment and somatics, click here

  • No matter what kind of relationship you’re in or what your goals as a couple or group are, I have experience helping people improve their communication and find more connection with one another. Ethical non-monogamy and kink positive!

  • Sometimes it feels best to walk while you talk! If you’re struggling to find time for movement, we can do that while talking for therapy. Movement can also help rewire our nervous systems.

  • For your convenience, if you prefer to meet virtually, we can meet via a secure, HIPPA-compliant telehealth platform.
